Balayage
Freehand painting for a graduated, sun-kissed effect. Maintenance appointments are typically every 12–16 weeks, making this one of our most popular low-maintenance colour choices.
Expert colour work with violet-base toners and professional-grade pigments — applied under Victoria's honest northern light.
Book a Colour ConsultationThe right colour decision depends on your hair's current state — not just the image you bring in.
Colour work at Pulsekbeta starts with a strand assessment. Before we discuss a target shade, we want to understand your hair's porosity, its previous chemical history, and how it behaves after washing. This diagnostic step takes roughly fifteen minutes and changes the outcome significantly. A colour that is achievable in one session on one client may require two sessions on another — and we will tell you this honestly at consultation, not halfway through the first appointment. Our colour team works primarily with Schwarzkopf Professional and Olaplex systems, and we use violet-toned bases across many of our toner and tint formulations to counteract brassiness in the Victoria climate.
Each service below includes a consultation, the colour application, and a toning rinse where applicable.

Traditional foil highlights applied from root to tip. Best for clients who want consistent lightening across the whole head, or who are transitioning from a single-process colour.
A single-process colour application from the root to the point of previous colour demarcation. Recommended every 5–8 weeks for full-coverage results. Quick to apply; transformative in effect.
Corrective work for uneven tone, unwanted warmth, or previous DIY results. Always quoted after a paid consultation. Some corrections require multiple sessions — we will set that expectation clearly before you commit.
“I came to Pulsekbeta after a box-dye disaster and expected to be told I needed four sessions to fix it. My colourist was honest: two sessions, specific timing, and clear care instructions. It was exactly as described, and the tone I have now is better than anything I had before the incident.”

We set expectations clearly so the result is never a surprise.
Colour outcomes at any salon are influenced by factors no stylist can fully control: the mineral content of the water you wash your hair with at home, the UV exposure your hair receives, and the shampoo you use between appointments. At Pulsekbeta, we provide a short written care guide with every colour appointment, covering water filters, UV-protective products, and sulphate-free shampoos appropriate for your specific result. We cannot guarantee colour longevity beyond what the product system specifies, but we can — and do — give you the information needed to extend it as far as possible.
Colour appointments book two to three weeks ahead on average — plan accordingly.
